Listen from:
When you stand with the sun to your back, you see a shadow of you on the ground. The shadow is not the real you, but it lets us know you are there. The commandments and the sacrifices of the law were shadows to show us that Jesus Christ is the real Savior of sinners.
The people who were keeping the law had to offer sacrifices every year because of their sin. The blood of animals in the sacrifices cannot take away sins. They were a shadow of Jesus Christ, who, with the one sacrifice of Himself, could take away sin forever. It is the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, that cleans us from all sin. Our sin is gone. Our conscience is clean. Our guilt is taken away, so we can come boldly into the presence of the living God, the Lord Jesus Christ.
The work for salvation is finished, so Jesus has forever sat down because He will never suffer for sin again. If you have heard the way of salvation through Jesus Christ and you refuse to accept Jesus as your Savior, there will be a fearful punishment waiting for you in hell.
We believers, who have been made just, shall live by faith of the sure hope of the coming of Jesus. Very soon now, the Lord shall come back to take us believers to heaven.
