Now there stood by the cross of Jesus . . .
There were a few followers of the Lord Jesus who were found near His cross. I wonder, if we had been alive at that time, whether Scripture would have recorded our names among the few who shared in the Lord’s deep suffering. We sing about being near the cross, but I wonder how near we really get? Do we identify with a crucified Savior? May the Lord help us to stay near Him and not be ashamed of the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.
