A man . . . a prophet . . . Lord.
John 9:11,17,3811He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight. (John 9:11)
17They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet. (John 9:17)
38And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. (John 9:38)
A blind man received his sight through a miracle by the Lord Jesus. At the beginning of the experience he calls Jesus “a man.” As his experience grows, Jesus becomes “a prophet” to him. But when he meets Jesus face to face, he worships Him and calls Him “Lord.” This is the confession needed for salvation - the statement of your faith in Jesus as your Lord. Have you done it?
