How did Christ forgive us? Freely and completely. So now, when someone wrongs me, I must forgive them the same way - freely and completely. Hard to do, isn’t it? That’s the old nature kicking into gear. It is hateful, revengeful and holds grudges. The new nature is loving and kind and forgiving. Let’s make sure that the new nature is the one that acts - not the old.
