Jesus, when He had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
Jesus was in full control. He didn’t have His life slowly squeezed from Him, but He voluntarily gave it up. He had told His disciples, “I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.” This is just another proof that He was God. And because He wanted you and me to be with Him in heaven, He willingly laid down His life so that, believing, we could go free.
