Fools.

All men are, without the knowledge of God. Titus 3:3³For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. (Titus 3:3).

Deny God. Psa. 14:1¹<<To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.>> The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. (Psalm 14:1). Psa. 53:1¹<<To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David.>> The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. (Psalm 53:1).

Blaspheme God. Psa. 74:18¹⁸Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O Lord, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name. (Psalm 74:18).

Reproach God. Psa. 74:22²²Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily. (Psalm 74:22).

Make a mock at sin. Prov. 14:9⁹Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favor. (Proverbs 14:9).

Despise instruction. Prov. 1:7⁷The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:7). Prov. 15:5⁵A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. (Proverbs 15:5).

Hate knowledge. Prov. 1:22²²How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? (Proverbs 1:22).

Delight not in understanding. Prov. 18:2²A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself. (Proverbs 18:2).

Sport themselves in mischief. Prov. 10:23²³It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom. (Proverbs 10:23).

Walk in darkness. Ecc. 2:14.

Hate to depart from evil. Prov. 13:19¹⁹The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil. (Proverbs 13:19).

Worship of, hateful to God. Ecc. 5:1.

ARE

Corrupt and abominable. Psa. 14:1¹<<To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.>> The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. (Psalm 14:1).

Self-sufficient. Prov. 12:15¹⁵The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise. (Proverbs 12:15). Rom. 1:22²²Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, (Romans 1:22).

Self-confident. Prov. 14:16¹⁶A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident. (Proverbs 14:16).

Self-deceivers. Prov. 14:8⁸The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit. (Proverbs 14:8).

Mere professors of religion. Mat. 25:2-12.

Full of words. Ecc. 10:14.

Given to meddling. Prov. 20:3³It is an honor for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling. (Proverbs 20:3).

Slanderers. Prov. 10:18¹⁸He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. (Proverbs 10:18).

Liars. Prov. 10:18¹⁸He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. (Proverbs 10:18).

Slothful. Ecc. 4:5.

Angry. Ecc. 7:9.

Contentious. Prov. 18:6⁶A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes. (Proverbs 18:6).

A grief to parents. Prov. 17:25²⁵A foolish son is a grief to his father, and bitterness to her that bare him. (Proverbs 17:25). Prov. 19:13¹³A foolish son is the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping. (Proverbs 19:13).

Come to shame. Prov. 3:35³⁵The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools. (Proverbs 3:35).

Destroy themselves by their speech. Prov. 10:8, 14⁸The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall. (Proverbs 10:8)
¹⁴Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction. (Proverbs 10:14). Ecc. 10:12.

The company of, ruinous. Prov. 13:20²⁰He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. (Proverbs 13:20).

Lips of, a snare to the soul. Pro. 18:7⁷A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. (Proverbs 18:7).

Cling to their folly. Prov. 26:11¹¹As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly. (Proverbs 26:11). Pro. 22, 23.

Worship idols. Jer. 10:8⁸But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities. (Jeremiah 10:8). Rom. 1:22, 23²²Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, ²³And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. (Romans 1:22‑23).

Trust to their own hearts. Prov. 28:26²⁶He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. (Proverbs 28:26).

Depend upon their wealth. Luke 12:20²⁰But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? (Luke 12:20).

Hear the gospel and obey it not. Matt. 7:26²⁶And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: (Matthew 7:26).

The mouth of, pours out folly. Prov. 15:2²The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness. (Proverbs 15:2).

Honor is unbecoming for. Prov. 26:1, 8¹As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honor is not seemly for a fool. (Proverbs 26:1)
⁸As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so is he that giveth honor to a fool. (Proverbs 26:8).

God has no pleasure in. Ecc. 5:4.

Shall not stand in the presence of God. Psa. 5:5⁵The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. (Psalm 5:5).

Avoid them. Prov. 9:6⁶Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding. (Proverbs 9:6). Prov. 14:7⁷Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge. (Proverbs 14:7).

Exhorted to seek wisdom. Prov. 8:5⁵O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. (Proverbs 8:5).

Punishment of. Psa. 107:17¹⁷Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. (Psalm 107:17). Prov. 19:29²⁹Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools. (Proverbs 19:29). Prov. 26:10¹⁰The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors. (Proverbs 26:10).

Exemplified. Rehoboam, 1 Kin. 12:8. Israel, Jer. 4:22²²For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. (Jeremiah 4:22) Pharisees, Matt. 23:17, 19¹⁷Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? (Matthew 23:17)
