Is a spirit. John 4:24²⁴God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24). 2 Cor. 3:17¹⁷Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2 Corinthians 3:17).

IS DECLARED TO BE

Light. Isa. 60:19¹⁹The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. (Isaiah 60:19). James 1:17¹⁷Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17). 1 John. 1:5.

Love. 1 John. 4:8, 16.

Invisible. Job 23:8, 9⁸Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him: ⁹On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him: (Job 23:8‑9). John 1:18¹⁸No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. (John 1:18). John 5:37³⁷And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. (John 5:37). Col. 1:15¹⁵Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: (Colossians 1:15). 1 Tim. 1:17¹⁷Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Timothy 1:17).

Unsearchable. Job 11:7⁷Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? (Job 11:7). Job 37:23²³Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. (Job 37:23). Psa. 145:3³Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. (Psalm 145:3). Isa. 40:28²⁸Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. (Isaiah 40:28). Rom. 11:33³³O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! (Romans 11:33).

Incorruptible. Rom. 1:23²³And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. (Romans 1:23). Eternal. Deut. 33:27²⁷The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them. (Deuteronomy 33:27). Psa. 90:2²Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. (Psalm 90:2). Rev. 4:8-10⁸And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. ⁹And when those beasts give glory and honor and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, ¹⁰The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, (Revelation 4:8‑10).

Immortal. 1 Tim. 1:17¹⁷Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Timothy 1:17). 1 Tim. 6:16¹⁶Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen. (1 Timothy 6:16).

Omnipotent. Gen. 17:1¹And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. (Genesis 17:1). Ex. 6:3³And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them. (Exodus 6:3).

Omniscient. Psa. 139:1-6¹<<To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.>> O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. ²Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. ³Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. ⁴For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. ⁵Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. ⁶Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. (Psalm 139:1‑6). Prov. 5:21²¹For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings. (Proverbs 5:21).

Omnipresent. Psa. 139:7⁷Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? (Psalm 139:7). Jer. 23:23²³Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off? (Jeremiah 23:23).

Immutable. Psa. 102:26, 27²⁶They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: ²⁷But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end. (Psalm 102:26‑27). James 1:17¹⁷Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17).

Only-wise. Rom. 16:27²⁷To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen. <<Written to the Romans from Corinthus, and sent by Phebe servant of the church at Cenchrea.>> (Romans 16:27). 1 Tim. 1:17¹⁷Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Timothy 1:17).

Glorious. Ex. 15:11¹¹Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? (Exodus 15:11). Psa. 145:5⁵I will speak of the glorious honor of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. (Psalm 145:5).

Most High. Psa. 33:18¹⁸Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; (Psalm 33:18). Acts 7:48⁴⁸Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, (Acts 7:48).

Perfect. Matt. 5:48⁴⁸Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5:48).

Holy. Psa. 99:9⁹Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy. (Psalm 99:9). Isa. 5:16¹⁶But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness. (Isaiah 5:16).

Just. Deu. 32:4. Isa. 45:21²¹Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the Lord? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. (Isaiah 45:21).

True. Jer. 10:10¹⁰But the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. (Jeremiah 10:10). John 17:3³And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (John 17:3).

Upright. Psa. 25:8⁸Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. (Psalm 25:8). Psa. 92:15¹⁵To show that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. (Psalm 92:15).

Righteous. Ezr. 9:15¹⁵O Lord God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this. (Ezra 9:15). Psa. 145:17¹⁷The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. (Psalm 145:17).

Good. Psa. 25:8⁸Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. (Psalm 25:8). Psa. 119:68⁶⁸Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes. (Psalm 119:68).

Great. 2 Chr. 2:5⁵And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods. (2 Chronicles 2:5). Psa. 86:10¹⁰For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone. (Psalm 86:10).

Gracious. Exo. 34:6⁶And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, (Exodus 34:6). Psa. 116:5⁵Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. (Psalm 116:5).

Faithful. 1 Cor. 10:13¹³There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. (1 Corinthians 10:13). 1 Pet. 4:19¹⁹Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. (1 Peter 4:19).

Merciful. Exo. 34:6, 7⁶And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, ⁷Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. (Exodus 34:6‑7). Psa. 86:5⁵For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. (Psalm 86:5).

Long suffering. Num. 14:18¹⁸The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation. (Numbers 14:18). Mic. 7:1¹Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit. (Micah 7:1).

Jealous. Jos. 24.19. Nah. 1:2²God is jealous, and the Lord revengeth; the Lord revengeth, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies. (Nahum 1:2).

Compassionate. 2 Kings 13:23²³And the Lord was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet. (2 Kings 13:23).

A consuming fire. Heb. 12:29²⁹For our God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:29).

None beside Him. Deu. 4:35. Isa. 44:6⁶Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. (Isaiah 44:6)

None like Him. Exo. 9:14¹⁴For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth. (Exodus 9:14). Deu. 33:26. 2 Sam. 7:22²²Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. (2 Samuel 7:22). Isa. 46:5, 9⁵To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like? (Isaiah 46:5)
⁹Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, (Isaiah 46:9). Jer. 10:6⁶Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O Lord; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. (Jeremiah 10:6).

None good but He. Matt. 19:17¹⁷And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. (Matthew 19:17).

Fills heaven and earth. 1 Kin. 8:27. Jer. 23:24²⁴Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord. (Jeremiah 23:24).

Should be worshipped in spirit and in truth. John 4:24²⁴God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24).
