(Deuteronomy 12:15). Deut. 14:5⁵The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois. (Deuteronomy 14:5).

Often hunted. Lam. 1:6⁶And from the daughter of Zion all her beauty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the pursuer. (Lamentations 1:6).

Of converted sinners. Isa. 35:6⁶Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. (Isaiah 35:6).

(Sure-footedness of,) of experienced saints. Psa. 18:33³³He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places. (Psalm 18:33). Hab. 3:19¹⁹The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments. (Habakkuk 3:19).

(Psalm 42:1‑2).
