 The stronger the feeling of God against that which destroys His own glory, the more worthy is it that He should be slow to act on His indignation, as we should be for quite different reasons. Indeed slowness to anger is ordinarily the proof of moral greatness, though there are extreme cases where waiting would bespeak want of right feeling. Jehovah is slow to anger, and great in power, and doth not at all clear the guilty: Jehovah,—his way is in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
