To the chief musician; a Psalm of David.{HR}The heavens [are] telling the glory of God,{HR}And the expanse [is] showing the work of his hands.
Day unto day uttereth speech,{HR}And night unto night showeth knowledge.
[There is] no speech and [there are] no words;{HR}Their voice is not heard.
In all the earth their line has gone forth,{HR}And their speech unto the end of the world;{HR}In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun;
And it [is] as a bridegroom going forth from his bridal chamber;{HR}It rejoiceth as a mighty man to run a course.
From the end of the heavens [is] its going forth,{HR}And its circuit unto their ends,{HR}And nothing is hidden from its heat.
The law of Jehovah [is] perfect, restoring the soul;{HR}The testimony of Jehovah [is] true, making wise the simple.
The precepts of Jehovah [are] right, rejoicing the heart;{HR}The commandment of Jehovah [is] clear, enlightening the eyes.
The fear of Jehovah [is] pure, enduring forever;{HR}The judgments of Jehovah [are] truth, they [are] righteous altogether,
To be desired more than gold, and more than much pure gold;{HR}And sweeter than honey and the dropping of the honeycomb.
Also thy servant is admonished by them,{HR}In keeping them [is] great reward.
Errors—who discerneth them?{HR}Cleanse thou me from secret [ones].
Also from presumptuous [ones] keep back thy servant;{HR}Let them not have dominion over me:{HR}Then shall I be upright,{HR}And be clear from much transgression.
Let the words of my mouth{HR}And the meditation of my heart be acceptable before thee,{HR}O Jehovah, my rock and my redeemer.
