Satan will be bound with chains and locked up in the bottomless pit for 1000 years so he won’t be able to tempt people to sin. There will be peace on earth. We believers will be sitting on thrones because we will reign with Christ, who will give us jobs to do for Him in His kingdom. The first resurrection is for the righteous only and will happen in at least three parts: first before the tribulation when Jesus takes the true church to heaven, and second and third at the middle and the end of the tribulation for those who were martyred for the witness of Jesus. The righteous will live and reign with Christ for 1000 years.
At the end of 1000 years, Satan will be released from the bottomless pit. He will gather all the enemies of God together in an attempt to destroy Jesus Christ and the beloved city of Jerusalem. But God will send fire down from heaven and burn them up. Satan will then be cast into the lake of fire to be tormented forever. Jesus wins forever. The second resurrection is only for the wicked. Every unbeliever since the beginning of time will be raised from the dead. They will stand before Jesus Christ, who will sit on a white throne of purity. Jesus the Judge will open the books to see the details of their works that could not save them. Finally, Jesus will look to see if their name is written in the book of life. If their name is not found, they will be cast into the lake of fire to be punished for their sin of rejecting Jesus.
