The fifth trumpet blows. A star falls from heaven. This star is probably a person, controlled by the power of Satan. He was given a key to open the bottomless pit where demons are locked up. Out came a dark cloud of smoke with locusts. The locusts were demons. The smoke is like the lies of the devil that will deceive people. In 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12, we learn that if you reject Jesus today, you will be made to believe the lies at this time. Those locusts have power to sting like a scorpion and to hurt people for five months. People will be tormented so much by the locusts that they will want to die, but they will continue to suffer, and they will not die. The demons were not allowed to hurt the Jews that had the seal of God in their foreheads. The king of demons has two names, Abaddon and Apollyon. Both names mean “Destroyer.”
When the sixth angel blows his trumpet, four angels of God’s protection for Israel are removed and 200,000,000 warriors, from nations that hate Israel, are allowed to come into the land of Israel and kill one-third of the Jews. The fire coming out of the mouths is probably the horsemen forcing a false religion on the Jews. Many Jews turned away from God, the true Messiah, to follow this false religion. This killing and fear did not make these people repent of their sinful actions. They continued with stealing, violence, sex outside of marriage, and sorcery similar to Harry Potter. They were not sorry at all.
