It is well that in the RV the first eight verses form a separate section. Nowhere in the book is such a division more imperatively called for, which tends to guard the reader from confounding the eternal state with the millennial to the loss of their marked distinctiveness.

The Edd. omit the words "unto me"; they are rightly struck out as having no known authority in Greek MSS. Erasmus’ Codex Reuchlini opposes the learned editor himself who ventured to father them.

The copies vary greatly in the order of the last words. But "the bride the wife of the Lamb" has the best authority, and the substantial sense is the same.
