Ministry on This Verse

+
I come.
and my.
to give.
When that day comes, it is the judgment of the living. It is the Lord's coming, not here spoken of as an encouragement to him who hears and keeps the words of the prophecy of the book, but rather in the way of discriminating judgment. (Lectures on Revelation 22: Part 2 by W. Kelly)

J. N. Darby Translation

+
12
Behold, I come quickly, and my reward with me, to render to every one as his work shall be.

W. Kelly Translation

+
12
Beholda, I am coming quickly; and my reward with me to give each as his work isb.

WK Translation Notes

+
a
The copulative "And" before "Behold" has no real place, as found in the T. R.; but it is excluded by the mass of MSS.
b
The true reading I believe to be "his work is" as in some good MSS. This reading is far more energetic than the common one used in the T. R., "his work shall be."
