Used over 200 times as a common title amongst the children of God, and given by Christ in
Matt. 23:8
8
But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. (Matthew 23:8)
. “One is your master, even Christ, and all ye are brethren.” It is a title that is the birthright of every member of God’s family. The “many sons” whom He brings to glory, and whom the Lord is not ashamed to call His “brethren.” To apply the name in any narrower sense is contrary to the teaching of Scripture.
