Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth.
This is a neat verse. The psalm-writer, David, must have been a lot like us. We often open our mouth and put our foot in it - that is, we say things without thinking and it causes trouble. How good to let the Lord control our mouths and our tongues so that we say kind things to and about others.
