Being sick is no fun, especially if it drags on for a long time. Job’s sickness led to deep discouragement and sorrow. He couldn’t understand why God was passing him through this hard trial. We often don’t understand God’s ways, but the Lord has His purpose. Sickness is allowed by Him sometimes as a means to keep us close to Him. Yes, it can be discouraging. But it will be for our blessing if we are prayerfully concerned about it.
