"I would give the world to have your happy outlook," said a rich man to a Christian lady.

"That's just what it cost me," she replied. "I gave the world for Christ, and my outlook is blest eternally with Him.”

The Bible says that we are enemies of God, if we are friends with the world (James 4:4⁴Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. (James 4:4)). In 1 John 2:15¹⁵Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (1 John 2:15) we read: "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

When we come to Jesus, we should gladly give up all those things which He hates, and He hates the wicked sin of the world. But in return He gives us everlasting life, and more happiness than the world could ever offer.

"Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him." Psa. 2:12¹²Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. (Psalm 2:12).
