Kindness

The dictionary defines the word “kind” as “being of a sympathetic or helpful nature.” Kindness is such a beautiful thing that someone once wrote, “Kindness is the music of the universe.”
Well, if kindness is the music of the universe, then I know the most beautiful song that was ever written. It is when Christ gave His life for sinners. “When we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly” (Romans 5:66For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. (Romans 5:6)).
He knew our lost condition, our inability to save ourselves, and that because of our sins we were headed towards hell. To deliver us from the death our sins deserved, He came to this earth and died in the sinner’s place.
What He did was beautiful and full of tender mercy. Because of His death, sinners may be justified and find forgiveness the moment they believe in His name. “Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: and by Him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses” (Acts 13:38-3938Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: 39And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. (Acts 13:38‑39)).
If kindness is the music of the universe, then that same beautiful song that was played and heard at Calvary is being played today in all its sweetest strains each time the Holy Spirit works in sinners’ hearts to lead them to Christ.
That beautiful music plays whenever someone finds God’s forgiveness. It can be heard in every difficulty, because God knows that if He didn’t allow these things, we would never look to Him for help.
It’s heard whenever a believer lives out the life of Christ and in His name shows kindness to others.
It’s heard when believers die and are welcomed home to the peace and glory of heaven.
If you want your life to be full of the music of heaven, then repent of your sins, believe in the Lord Jesus, and live by faith in the God who loves you. He doesn’t want you to take your journey through life alone. He wants to be with you in every part of it.
God showing kindness to the world through His Son is indeed the good news everyone needs to hear. It is a message that has the power to bring everlasting joy.
“After that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior; that being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life” (Titus 3:4-74But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:4‑7)).
Will you place your faith in His Son so that God’s gift of eternal life might be yours?
