Mediator

is one who stands between God and man; either in law, as Moses (comp. Gal. 3:19, 20¹⁹Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. ²⁰Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. (Galatians 3:19‑20)), or in grace, as Christ (1 Tim. 2:5⁵For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (1 Timothy 2:5); Heb. 8:6; 9:16; 12:21⁶But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. (Hebrews 8:6)
¹⁶For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. (Hebrews 9:16)
²¹And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:) (Hebrews 12:21)).
