The 1000 years of Christ’s reign over the earth. During this time righteousness will reign, and no sin or evil will be apparent. But it will not alas, be all gone, for it will be shown in the history of the unrenewed who may be born during this time, that even the personal reign of Christ cannot eradicate evil from man’s heart; for at the close, under the influence of the enemy of the human race, he will rise in a final rebellion against God (

). In the new heaven and earth subsequent to this there is no sin. During the millennium unparalleled blessing and fertility will cover the earth. Jerusalem will be the earthly center of government under a prince of the house of David (see Ezek.), in close connection with the heavenly Jerusalem above.
