 Very blessedly the godly man says, “I will hear what God, Jehovah, will speak” (JND). He finds that Jehovah gives an answer of peace. (Psalms 85 by H. Smith)
 To quit their fears and settle their doubts, the Lord speaks peace unto them. He tells them of the greatness of the salvation that has been brought nigh unto them and instructs them in the true meaning and value of the cross where mercy and truth met together and righteousness and peace kissed each other (vs. 8-10).
