take not.
for I have.
And the word He had sent to us was trusted in as well as obeyed. This is an important point, it is not only the authority of the word, but we have set to our seal that God is true, we receive it as the word of God, and God, we know, must be true, for we know Him; and the soul is interested in the truth of the word. (Practical Reflections on the Psalms: Psalm 119:25-72 by J.N. Darby)
He had put his trust in God’s Word; if abandoned of God the Word of truth would be utterly taken out of his mouth. He would have no answer to the reproaches of the wicked. He has confidence in delivering grace, for his hope is in God’s judgments. (Psalm 119:41-48: Division 6 (Vau) by H. Smith)
