(captive of God). (1) A descendant of Moses (1 Chron. 23:16; 26:24¹⁶Of the sons of Gershom, Shebuel was the chief. (1 Chronicles 23:16)
²⁴And Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler of the treasures. (1 Chronicles 26:24)). Shubael (1 Chron. 24:20²⁰And the rest of the sons of Levi were these: Of the sons of Amram; Shubael: of the sons of Shubael; Jehdeiah. (1 Chronicles 24:20)).
