 “By grace ye are saved.” This is the source of all the blessing. And the expression is very strong. For what the form of the word implies is that the salvation was complete, and that they were now enjoying its present result. (Remarks on Ephesians 2:4-10 by W. Kelly)
 In Hebrews you have salvation connected with our Lord's appearing the second time. In Ephesians, on the contrary, we are saved already, and there Christ's return to receive His people is not throughout referred to.
