Ezek. 32:18‑32• 18Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.
19Whom dost thou pass in beauty? go down, and be thou laid with the uncircumcised.
20They shall fall in the midst of them that are slain by the sword: she is delivered to the sword: draw her and all her multitudes.
21The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.
22Asshur is there and all her company: his graves are about him: all of them slain, fallen by the sword:
23Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her company is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which caused terror in the land of the living.
24There is Elam and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword which are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth, which caused their terror in the land of the living; yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit.
25They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with all her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terror was caused in the land of the living, yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of them that be slain.
26There is Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though they caused their terror in the land of the living.
27And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down to hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.
28Yea, thou shalt be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shalt lie with them that are slain with the sword.
29There is Edom, her kings, and all her princes, which with their might are laid by them that were slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down to the pit.
30There be the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians, which are gone down with the slain; with their terror they are ashamed of their might; and they lie uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword, and bear their shame with them that go down to the pit.
31Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army slain by the sword, saith the Lord Jehovah.
32For I have caused my terror in the land of the living: and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord Jehovah. (Ezek. 32:18‑32)
Ezek. 38:9‑23• 9Thou wilt ascend and come like a storm; thou wilt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
10Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, It shall also come to pass in that day that things shall come into thy mind, and thou shalt devise a wicked device,
11and thou wilt say, I will go up to the land of villages, I will invade those who are at ease, that dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates
12to take spoil and to take prey, to turn thy hand against the wastes that are inhabited and against a people gathered out of the nations, gathering cattle and goods, dwelling in the midst of the land.
13Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
14Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?
15And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
16and thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
17Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?
18And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah, that my fury shall come up in my face.
19For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
20so that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
21And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord Jehovah; every man's sword shall be against his brother.
22And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
23Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am Jehovah. (Ezek. 38:9‑23)
Ezek. 39:1‑10• 1And thou, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal;
2and I will turn thee back and lead thee [astray], and cause thee to come up from the sides of the north, and bring thee upon the mountains of Israel.
3And I will strike thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
4Upon the mountains of Israel shalt thou fall, thou and all thine armies, and the people that are with thee: I have given thee for food to the ravenous bird, the bird of every wing, and to the beast of the field.
5Upon the open field shalt thou fall; for I have spoken it, saith the Lord Jehovah.
6And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
7So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name anymore: and the heathen shall know that I am Jehovah, the Holy One in Israel.
8Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord. Jehovah; this is the day whereof I have spoken.
9And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the hand staves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:
10so that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord Jehovah. (Ezek. 39:1‑10)
Rev. 16:1‑19:21• 1And I heard a loud voice [out of the temple] saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the seven bowls of the indignation of God unto the earth.
2And the first went away and poured out his bowl unto the earth; and there came an evil and grievous sore upon the men that had the mark of the beast, and {i}upon{/i} those that worshipped his image.
3And the second poured out his bowl into the sea; and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living soul died, those in the sea.
4And the third poured out his bowl into the rivers and [into] the fountains of waters; and they became blood.
5And I heard the angel of the waters say, Righteous art thou that art and that wast holy, because thou hast judged these things.
6For they shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou gavest them blood to drink: they are worthy.
7And I heard the altar say, Yea, O Lord God the Almighty, true and righteous {i}are{/i} thy judgments.
8And the fourth poured out his bowl upon the sun; and it was given him to scorch men with fire.
9And the men were scorched with great scorching, and blasphemed the name of God that had authority over these plagues; and they repented not to give him glory.
10And the fifth poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast; and his kingdom became darkened; and they gnawed their tongues for the pain,
11and blasphemed the God of the heaven for their pains and for their sores, and repented not of their works.
12And the sixth poured out his bowl upon the great river, the Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings that are from {i}the{/i} east might be prepared.
13And I saw out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits as frogs.
14For they are spirits of demons working signs, who go forth unto the kings of the whole habitable {i}world{/i} to gather them together unto the war of [that] great day of God the Almighty.
15(Behold, I come as a thief: blessed {i}is{/i} he that watcheth, and keepeth his raiment, that he walk not naked, and they see {i}not{/i} his shame.)
16And they gathered them together unto the place that is called in Hebrew Harmagedon.
17And the seventh poured out his bowl upon the air; and there came forth a loud voice from the temple [of the heaven], from the throne, saying, It is done.
18And there were lightnings and voices and thunders, and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since a man was on the earth (such an earthquake, so great.
19And the great city became three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and Babylon the great was remembered before God to give her the cup of the wine of the indignation of his wrath.
20And every island fled away, and no mountains were found.
21And great hail as of a talent's weight cometh down out of the heaven upon men: and men blasphemed God for the plague of the hail; because the plague thereof is exceeding great.
1And there came one of the seven angels that had the seven bowls, and spoke with me, saying, Come hither; I will show thee the judgment of the great harlot that sitteth on [the] many waters;
2with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and those that inhabit the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3And he carried me away in {i}the{/i} Spirit into a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet beast full of [the] names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4And the woman was clothed with purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stone and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the unclean things of her fornication,
5and upon her forehead a name written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus; and when I saw her, I wondered with great wonder.
7And the angel said to me, Wherefore didst thou wonder? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that beareth her, that hath the seven heads and the ten horns.
8The beast which thou sawest was and is not, and is to rise up out of the abyss and go into perdition: and they shall wonder that dwell on the earth, of whom the name is not written in the book of life from {i}the{/i} world's foundation, when they behold the beast that he was and is not and shall be present.
9Here {i}is{/i} the mind that hath wisdom.
10The seven heads are seven mountains, where the woman sitteth on them; and they are seven kings: five are fallen, one is, the other is not yet come; and when he shall have come, he must continue a short {i}space{/i}.
11And the beast which was and is not, even he is an eighth and is of the seven and goeth into perdition.
12And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings which have not yet received a kingdom; but they receive authority as kings one hour with the beast.
13These have one mind and give their power and authority to the beast.
14These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them (for he is Lord of lords and King of kings), and those that are with him, called and chosen and faithful.
15And he saith to me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues.
16And the ten horns which thou sawest, and the beast, these shall hate the harlot and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh and shall burn her with fire.
17For God hath put into their hearts to accomplish his mind, and to accomplish one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, till the words of God shall be finished.
18And the woman whom thou sawest is the great city that hath kingship over the kings of the earth.
1After these things I saw another angel coming down out of the heaven, having great authority; and the earth was illumined with his glory.
2And he cried with a strong voice, saying, Fallen [fallen] is Babylon the great, and is become a habitation of demons, and a haunt of every unclean spirit, and a haunt of every unclean and hated bird.
3For of the wine of the fury of her fornication all the nations drank, and the kings of the earth committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth became rich by the power of her luxury.
4And I heard another voice out of the heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye have no fellowship with her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues:
5for her sins have reached unto the heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
6Render to her as she also rendered, and double [the] double according to her works: in the cup which she mixed mix to her double.
7How much she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, so much torment and mourning give her. Because in her heart she saith, I sit a queen and am no widow and shall in no wise see mourning;
8therefore in one day shall her plagues come, death and mourning and famine; and she shall be utterly burnt with fire: for strong {i}is{/i} the Lord God that judged her.
9And the kings of the earth that committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her shall weep and wail on account of her, when they see the smoke of her burning,
10standing afar off because of the fear of her torment, saying, Woe, woe, the great city Babylon, the strong city! for in one hour came thy judgment.
11And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn on account of her; for their lading no one buyeth anymore—a
12lading of gold and of silver and of precious stone and of pearl and of fine linen and of purple and of silk and of scarlet; and all thyine wood and all furniture of ivory and all furniture of most precious wood, and of brass and of iron and of marble;
13and cinnamon and amomum and incense and unguent and frankincense and wine and oil and fine flour and wheat and cattle and sheep, and of horses and of chariots and of bodies and souls of men.
14And the fruits of the desire of thy soul have departed from thee, and all the sumptuous and the bright things have perished from thee, and never shall they find them anymore.
15The merchants of these things that became rich by her shall stand afar off because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning,
16saying, Woe, woe, the great city, that was clothed with fine linen and purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stone and pearls!
17for in one hour were so great riches made desolate. And every pilot and every voyager and sailors and as many as trade by the sea stood afar off,
18and cried, seeing the smoke of her burning, saying, What {i}city is{/i} like the great city!
19And they cast dust upon their heads, and cried, weeping and mourning, saying, Woe, woe, the great city, wherein all that had ships in the sea became rich by reason of her costliness! for in one hour was she made desolate.
20Rejoice over her, O heaven, and ye saints, and ye apostles, and ye prophets: for God hath judged your judgment on her.
21And a strong angel took up a stone as a great millstone, and cast {i}it{/i} into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall Babylon the great city be cast down, and shall in no wise be found more.
22And no voice of harpers and musicians and pipers and trumpeters shall be heard any more in thee; and no craftsman of any craft shall be found any more in thee; and no sound of millstone shall be heard any more in thee;
23and no light of lamp shall shine any more in thee; and no voice of bridegroom and of bride shall be heard any more in thee; for thy merchants were the great ones of the earth; for by thy sorcery were all the nations deceived.
24And in her the blood of prophets and of saints was found, and of all that were slain on the earth.
1After these things I heard as a loud voice of a great multitude in the heaven, saying, Alleluia! the salvation, the glory and the power of our God:
2for true and righteous {i}are{/i} his judgments; for he hath judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
3And a second time they said, Alleluia! and her smoke riseth up unto the ages of the ages.
4And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshipped God that sitteth on the throne, saying, Amen, Alleluia!
5And a voice came forth out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, the little and the great.
6And I heard as a voice of a great multitude, and as a voice of many waters, and as a voice of strong thunders, saying, Alleluia! for the Lord [our] God the Almighty hath reigned.
7Let us be glad and rejoice and give the glory to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8And to her it was granted that she should be clothed with fine linen bright [and] pure: for the fine linen is the righteousnesses of the saints.
9And he saith to me, Write: Blessed {i}are{/i} those that are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith to me, These are the true words of God.
10And I fell before his feet to worship him. And he saith to me, See {i}thou do it{/i} not: I am fellow-servant of thee and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
11And I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called faithful and true, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12His eyes {i}were{/i} [as] a flame of fire, and upon his head {i}were{/i} many diadems; he had [names written and] a name written which no one knoweth but he himself;
13and he {i}was{/i} clothed with a garment dyed with blood: and his name is called THE WORD OF GOD.
14And the armies that are in the heaven followed him upon white horses, clad in white pure fine linen.
15And out of his mouth proceeded a [two-edged] sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with an iron rod: and he treadeth the winepress of the wine of the indignation of the wrath of God the Almighty.
16And he hath upon the garment and upon his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
17And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in mid-heaven, Come, gather yourselves together unto the great supper of God;
18that ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of chiliarchs, and the flesh of strong {i}men{/i}, and the flesh of horses, and of those that sit on them, and the flesh of all, both free and bond, and both little and great.
19And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war with him that sat on the horse and with his army.
20And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought the signs before him, with which he deceived those that had received the mark of the beast and those that worshipped his image: they two were cast alive into the lake of fire that burneth with brimstone.
21And the rest were slain with the sword of him that sat on the horse ( {i}the sword{/i} that came forth out of his mouth; and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. (Rev. 16:1‑19:21)
