For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice.
Man wants so badly to be able to DO something for salvation. We talked yesterday about money not being able to buy salvation. In our verse today man wanted to be able to offer sacrifices to please God, only to find out that God desperately wanted to show mercy to man and wouldn’t accept his feeble sacrifices. God loves to show mercy. He doesn’t want to send anyone to hell. If you are not yet saved, turn to Him today in genuine repentance and allow Him to show you His wonderful mercy.
