2CO 8:9⁹For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9)

Our Lord Jesus Christ . . . though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye . . . might be rich.

2 Corinthians 8:9⁹For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9)

The Lord Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, maker of everything, gave up the glory of heaven, and became a poor man who had no comforts here, so that we might inherit the riches of heaven. Why? Because He loved us so much. It’s the most incredible love story ever told. And when we believe on Him as our Lord and Savior, we become the heirs of salvation. All the riches of heaven are now ours. Let’s praise Him today for His wonderful love.
