The king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting  .  .  .  and his sleep went from him.
King Darius was a worried man. And he had reason to be. He had just signed into law a rule that got one of his top officers into an awful fix. Daniel was his most trusted advisor. Now he was destined to be thrown to the lions. And all because of Darius’s pride. No wonder he spent the night pacing the floor. But God was looking out for Daniel and saved him from a rather violent end. And it taught Darius a very big lesson. It’s great when we learn a lesson from our mistakes.
