When Saul inquired of the Lord, the Lord answered him not. . . . Then said Saul . . . Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit.
1 Samuel 28:6, 76And when Saul inquired of the Lord, the Lord answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets. 7Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor. (1 Samuel 28:6‑7)
Sometimes the Lord doesn’t answer our prayers right away. Does that mean that we should go to Satan’s realm to get our answers? Absolutely not! The Lord is testing our faith, or our perseverance in prayer, or both. He just wants us to wait. Of course Saul here was not a true child of God and so when one avenue didn’t work he tried another. He used witchcraft. Be careful, young believer. Satan can make his tricks look like the real thing. His ministers can change themselves into angels of light. Spend lots of time with the Lord. He hears you every time you pray. He may choose not to answer just yet. But He will.
