Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.
Proverb 28:6
Riches may seem like a great thing to have, but how much better it is to have a clear conscience before the Lord, and live an upright Christian life even though you have little in this world, than to be corrupt and rich. An unsaved friend of mine who is a doctor of psychology once told me that he didn’t know how some people could sleep at night with a clear conscience because of the way they cheated in order to gain riches. Be content. Let the Lord take care of your needs. He’ll always provide for His own.
