1TI 6:17-18¹⁷Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; ¹⁸That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; (1 Timothy 6:17‑18)

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded . . . that they be rich in good works.

God doesn’t care that you’re rich, that your bank account is overflowing. But He does care if you don’t use yourself in service to others. Riches mean nothing to Him who created all things. He wants our hearts. He wants us to be dedicated in His service, which includes doing good to others. God faithfully warns the rich people here not to trust in their riches. The only thing of any certainty is heaven and the treasure there. Make sure you’re building on it.
