• “Thy prisoners” will refer to the “sons of Zion” who may at this time be found in captivity, their captivity being set forth by the figure of a pit wherein is no water. Such was their condition — shut in on every side, and deprived of all sources of life; and yet they will be “sent forth,” delivered.
