• We have no reason to think that this Nahash is any other than the one presented to us in 1 Sam. 11. (“Hanun: 2 Samuel 10” by H.L. Rossier)
• "His father showed kindness to me." The Word says nothing about this in the account of David's wanderings; the First Book of Chronicles makes no mention of it. In a word, history does not recall this kindness―but David, a type of Christ, remembers an act of kindness on the part of this man who must have hated him as the future king of Israel.
