In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed that the final Thursday in November should be annually recognized as a national day of Thanksgiving in the USA. Other countries have similar annual holidays. A day for Thanksgiving is appropriate.
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD. Psalm 92:1
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20
For He is kind unto the unthankful. Luke 6:35
Thanksgiving Things
You are able to read, aren’t you? Thank God you can read!
You are able to understand what you are reading now, aren’t you? Thank God for your mind!
Are you really sure that you are really ready to enter God’s holy Heaven? If not, you may thank God that you are not already in Eternity.
And thank God for His great love and for His great Gift:
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
