• As in John 14 there are two main elements of comfort—the presence of the Spirit and the coming of the Lord Jesus; so here we have the permanence of the action of the Spirit in the feeblest remnant of Israel {v.5}, and then further the day of Jehovah, when their Savior God reveals Himself to His waiting people.
