 (vs. 2) They can thus call upon others to praise the Lord, because of what they have experienced themselves― “His merciful kindness is great toward us.” They at last own they have come into blessing on the ground of mercy (cf. Rom. 11:31-32). Nevertheless, they recognize it is not mercy at the expense of truth. (Psalm 117 by H. Smith)
