About This Product
The book of Esther concludes the deeply interesting series of historical books of the Bible. It views the Jews out of the land of their inheritance with "Lo-ammi" written on them (Hosea 1:9). Even though they are dispersed, they are seen under the providential care of God who works behind the scenes for their good. To emphasize this point, God's name is not found in the book. However, His presence and power are clearly manifested throughout.
The events recorded in the book of Esther are of intense interest to the Bible student, for they have great prophetic significance. Many things in it foreshadow God's dealings with the Jews after apostate Christendom will be disowned by Him. As God worked in that day to deliver the Jews from the diabolical plan of Haman to exterminate them, He will work in the future (the Great Tribulation) to deliver the godly Jewish remnant from the great persecution of the Beast and the Antichrist. In the end, one man (Mordecai) stands out from all others, and glory and honor is given to him. He is a type of the Lord Jesus Christ.
