About This Product
The book of Nehemiah provides encouragement for those in Christianity who are called to live and serve in the difficult closing days of the Church's testimony on earth. The exercise that Nehemiah had was not to begin the worship of Jehovah again, nor was it to bring back precious vessels and instruments for the temple service; these things had been done in the days of Zerubbabel and Jeshua, as recorded in the book of Ezra. Nehemiah's exercise was to preserve those things that had been brought back. This was done, firstly, by building the wall and the gates of Jerusalem for protection (chapters 1-6), and secondly, by administrating the civil affairs of the city so that there would be a right condition among the people that would meet the Lord's approval, and thus have His divine protection (chapters 7-13). Such concerns correlate to the present need in these closing days of Christian testimony to "hold fast" the truth that has been recovered, and to let none of it go (Rev. 3:11).
