the riches.
 The first {hope of the calling} is connected with verses 3-5, that is, our calling; the second {glory of His inheritance}, with verse 11, that is, the inheritance. (Ephesians 1 by J.N. Darby)
 By the calling of God we are called to enjoy the blessedness of His presence, near to Himself, to enjoy that which is above us. The inheritance of God applies to that which is below us, to created things, which are all made subject to Christ. (Ephesians 1 by J.N. Darby)
 Take notice that the Apostle does not say “our calling,” although we are the called. He characterizes this calling by connecting it with Him who calls in order that we may understand it according to its excellence, according to its true character.  I think verse 4 is before his mind's eye here. Verse 5 brings in His place as Father. “The hope of His calling” is founded on the full blessedness that pertains to us according to that purpose of God which is already ours in Christ—already made known to us and received by our hearts—the calling of God that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love....called to be the reflection of His own holy, loving nature, which, of course, we have got in the life of Christ, and which we shall have perfectly developed when changed into His image, from glory to glory.  the “glory of the inheritance” answers to the middle verses of the chapter. God means to have the whole universe blest and happy under Christ. (Remarks on Ephesians 1:15-23 by W. Kelly)
