About This Product
Young people associated with those “gathered to the Lord’s name” according to Matthew 18:20 are being bombarded with questions regarding the ecclesiastical position that the brethren take in separation from denominational church order in Christendom. Many of them are looking into this subject and have good and honest questions— and these questions deserve good answers. The intention of the author of this book is to try to unravel some of these puzzling questions for those who are seeking the truth—to the end that they would have a better understanding of the scriptural principles of gathering.
The author has no intention of denigrating the various Christian groups in Christendom as he takes up this subject, but rather, to present Scriptural answers to these questions. However, the answers that he gives will not do a person any good if his will is at work and he doesn’t want the truth, because the truth is only learned by those who have willing spirits. We, therefore, need the attitude of David who said, “Teach me Thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path” (Psa. 27:11). If we are honestly seeking God’s mind on this subject, the Lord will use His Word to guide and teach us. He said, “If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine” (John 7:17). The promise is as good now as it was when the Lord gave it almost 2000 years ago.
