 They could see that He was a man, and as they had no faith to see anything deeper, they only regarded Him as Son of Man. In that very character the Lord will judge them.  In the spurious Book of Enoch, and which the learned people maintain that Jude quoted from, the doctrine taught is this, that the Lord "comes with ten thousands of his saints to execute judgment upon them." There you see is the error that betrays the devil in the forger, for I do not in the least doubt that that document has been forged from this very verse. It has every mark of having been written by a Jew subsequent to the destruction of Jerusalem, who still buoyed himself up with the hope that God would stand by the Jews. (Jude 14-15 by W. Kelly)
