UN VERSÍCULO PARA MEMORIZAR

“Acuérdate de mi aflicción y de mi abatimiento, del ajenjo y de la hiel”. Lamentaciones 3:19¹⁹Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall. (Lamentations 3:19)

Este libro muestra la compasión e interés que Dios tiene en las aflicciones de Su pueblo Israel y de Jerusalén en particular. Tales aflicciones aumentan cuando las provocan los pecados de la gente. “En toda angustia de ellos Él fue angustiado”. (Isaías 63:9⁹In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. (Isaiah 63:9)), y fue demostrado por el dolor del Señor cuando estaba en este mundo.

Jeremías tuvo semejante espíritu viendo las calamidades que cayeron sobre Su pueblo, especialmente aquellas que cayeron sobre el “remanente”, es decir el “resto del pueblo”. La palabra remanente ocurre repetidas veces en el Antiguo Testamento. Saldrá este residuo de la gran tribulación para poseer la tierra.

También existe en el Nuevo Testamento un remanente de fieles. Véase Apocalipsis 2:24-25²⁴But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. ²⁵But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. (Revelation 2:24‑25).

El espíritu de Cristo se identifica con las tristezas mencionadas en cuanto a la ciudad. “¿No os conmueve a cuantos pasáis por el camino? Mirad, y ved si hay dolor como mi dolor que me ha venido; porque Jehová me ha angustiado en el día de la ira de Su furor”. Véase Lamentaciones 1:12¹²Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the Lord hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger. (Lamentations 1:12).

UN PENSAMIENTO PARA LA JUVENTUD

Lamentaciones 3:27²⁷It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. (Lamentations 3:27)

“Bueno le es al hombre llevar el yugo desde su juventud”. Llevar un yugo implica ceder a tu propia voluntad y estar sujeto a la voluntad de Dios, estar contento en un lugar inferior pero con descanso en tu alma En Mateo 11:28-30,²⁸Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. ²⁹Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. ³⁰For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28‑30) el Señor nos ofrece un yugo. Es tiempo de llevarlo desde ahora. No debes pensar que puedes hacer tu voluntad ahora y después la voluntad de Dios. Puedes quedar tan lejos de Él en tu alma que nunca vuelves.
