“Da, pues, a tu siervo corazón entendido para juzgar a tu pueblo, y para discernir entre lo bueno y lo malo; porque ¿quién podrá gobernar este tu pueblo tan grande?”1 Reyes 3:99Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? (1 Kings 3:9)
“Hizo lo recto ante los ojos de Jehová, conforme a todas las cosas que había hecho David su padre”. 2 Reyes 18:33And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that David his father did. (2 Kings 18:3)
Aquí tenemos el reinado de Salomón; el establecimiento pacífico de Israel; y la edificación del templo. Una verdadera oportunidad fue dada para que se estableciera la potestad del rey en toda su gloria, teniendo la ley como regla puesta en las manos del hombre. Pero, por causa del pecado del rey, el reino fue dividido en dos: Judá e Israel. UN PENSAMIENTO PARA LA JUVENTUD
“Y se tendió sobre el niño tres veces, y clamó a Jehová y dijo: Jehová Dios mío, te ruego que hagas volver el alma de este niño a él”. En la interpretación directa del versículo, qué importante es reconocer que la vida y la muerte están en las manos de Dios. No es malo ir al médico. Dios les ha dado mucho conocimiento en asuntos de salud. Lo malo es olvidar que podemos morir. Pero si conocemos a Cristo como nuestro Señor y Salvador, qué alentador es saber que un día muy pronto, los cuerpos de todos los creyentes muertos van a estar reunidos con sus almas y espíritus vivos, quienes han estado con el Señor desde su muerte. ¿Estamos anhelando la resurrección?
“ ... ¡Esto es sangre de espada! Los reyes se han vuelto el uno contra el otro, y cada uno ha dado muerte a su compañero. Ahora, pues, ¡Moab, al botín! Pero cuando llegaron al campamento de Israel, se levantaron los israelitas y atacaron a los de Moab, los cuales huyeron de delante de ellos; pero los persiguieron matando a los de Moab”. A veces, los jóvenes leen de las batallas en el Antiguo Testamento y quieren saber lo que corresponde para nosotros que vivimos bajo la gracia. Tenemos la instrucción clara en el Nuevo Testamento de que no debemos pelear.
