{v.7-8} Moses told the people that even then, if they would turn to the Lord in faith ("with all thine heart, and with all thy soul"), He would still bless them in the context of that legal system. They wouldn't have to do anything to merit this favor; They wouldn't have to go up to heaven or across the sea, because the legal commandments were right there before them—in their mouth and in their heart—waiting to be obeyed. All they would have to do is turn to the Lord in faith, and He would begin afresh with them. (The Responsibility of Man Israel's Present Rejection: Romans 10 by B. Anstey)
Christ has already come down and has become the supreme sacrifice for sin, and He has risen from the dead and is seated at the right hand of God. (The Responsibility of Man Israel's Present Rejection: Romans 10 by B. Anstey)
