The reader will observe that the true text of verse 4 is not a condition (if walking), but the fact or character, "those that walk."

I believe it should be "Spirit" (not "spirit," as if it was ours only) in verse 4, as well as 5, 6, and in 10 as well as 9, 13. The anarthrous construction does not deny the Holy Spirit to be in question, but presents it as character, rather than as the person objectively viewed.
